When BLF users' phones are ringing, the buttons will flash. Once set, reboot the phone for the changes to take effect. If you select "BLF", the user drop-down will display all of the users on your phone system that you can monitor. You will be able to toggle between line keys and BLF indicators. You should then see something like the image below. Click on "modify" in the line details section. In the "Resources" tab of the admin portal, click on the MAC address of a phone that's already in the OnSIP admin portal and the item will expand. If you have more than 1 sidecar attached to your phone, clicking on the arrows at the bottom will allow you to configure your 2nd and 3rd sidecars.Ĭonfiguring BLF by modifying an existing phone in resources When chosen, the additional button selectors will be visible. If there is a sidecar available for your phone model, you will see the option to add it. When you have toggled a line key to a BLF indicator, use the right dropdown to choose the users on your phone system you would like to monitor. All other lines can be turned into BLF indicators by using the left dropdown menu. Line 1 cannot be changed to a BLF indicator. Note on the screen below that for some phones, you can change the Lines to BLF indicators. Note: Pressing this button without Factory Resetting the phone will cause the phone to not be able to read the configuration file and will result in having to factory reset the phone. Use this feature only after performing a Factory Reset on an existing phone. The phone can then generate a new key to use with OnSIP. Press the "Reset Key" link to reset the security key on the phone to it's native state. Once a phone is up and running with OnSIP, if, for whatever reason, you Factory Reset the phone, you will need to reset the security key on the OnSIP Boot server. You no longer have to go to the Web interface for the phone. Once the phone has been properly configured and the MAC address added to the interface, simply reboot the phone and it will come back up with the user automatically configured. If subsequent simultaneous calls come in for that line, the phone will turn away the call with a 'busy' signal. If Concurrent Calls is unchecked, that line will only allow a single concurrent inbound call. The Concurrent Calls check box allows that "line" to support up to eight simultaneous calls. In most cases, you will be associating one user to one phone. You have the option to add multiple users to phones with multiple line appearances. Use the pull down menu to associate the phone with the appropriate user. You should now see this screen below, which lets you assign users to your lines.
